Departing Rochester or Syracuse NY Amtrak
Station, Tuesday morning May 29, 2007 at 5:47AM on Amtrak train #280
The Mohawk. We are scheduled to arrive in Albany NY at 9:55AM. We will
depart Albany by motor coach for New London CT and our 90 minute cruise
on Sea Pony Tours. We will be stopping for lunch en-route to New London.
After the cruise we will travel to Foxwoods CT and check in for 2 nights
in the Two Tree Inn an AAA 3 diamond property. 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners
are included plus several coupons and discounts if you elect to go
to the casino.
Wednesday late morning we will depart
the Two Trees Inn for the 60 minute drive to Newport RI. We will stop
in Newport for lunch before touring the Marble House and Rosecliff.
We will arrive back at the Two Trees Inn in late afternoon.
Thursday late morning we will depart
for Hyde Park NY with a lunch stop. We
will be staying at a Holiday Inn express
a AAA 3 diamond property in Poughkeepsie a 15 minute drive from Hyde
Park. We are scheduled for a tour of the Culinary Institute of America
at 5:00PM followed by dinner at the institute. After dinner we will
return to the Holiday Inn for the night. The tour and dinner are
included in the tour cost.
Friday after breakfast which is included
we will depart for the Vanderbilt Home and tour Hyde Park. After the
tour we will be stopping at the Reinbeck Aerodome for a tour of the
antique airplanes and automobile museum. We will then stop for lunch
in Reinbeck before driving to the Albany Amtrak Station and our 4:20PM
departure of train #285 arriving in Rochester or Syracuse at 8:25PM.
The escorted trip includes round trip
Rochester-Albany-Rochester in a reserved section of an Amtrak coach.
2 nights in the Two Trees Inn and 1 night at the Holiday Inn Express,
3 buffet breakfasts, 3 dinners, Motor Coach, Tours, tips for motor
coach driver, baggage handling and taxes.
