9/16/2004 - Rochester Chapter enjoys program from Bill
Caloroso
The Rochester Chapter NRHS has a monthly membership meeting on the 3rd Thursday
of every month. The meeting features a railroad related entertainment program,
the Chapter's book store, and a short business meeting so Chapter members can
get caught up on the Chapter's doings.
For the September meeting, we were fortunate enough to
have Bill Caloroso come and speak with us about the Pennsylvania
Railroad's Elmira Branch. We would like to thank Bill for
a great presentation.
We also want to remind everyone that our meetings are open
to the public and visitors are welcome.

Bill Caloroso shares some
of his first hand knowledge of the PRR's Elmira Branch with
over 50 members and guests of the Rochester Chapter NRHS.

Kodak Dollars for Doers grant.
The Rochester Chapter NRHS is pleased to announce that Rochester Chapter member,
Chris Hauf, received a $1000.00 Eastman Kodak
Company Dollars for Doers grant to restore the cab of former Kodak Park
Railroad locomotive #9; donated to the R&GV RR Museum by Kodak in 1997.
The Dollars for Doers program awards grants to Kodak employees for a specific
project they contribute to at a local non-profit. Chris works in R&D for
Kodak and also helps to maintain EK #9 at the Chapter's R&GV RR Museum
amongst other museum and Chapter duties. This grant will cover the replacement
of the cab's floor, repairing the cab windows, and a complete repaint of the
cab amongst many other improvements.
The Rochester Chapter NRHS congratulates Chris on receiving
this grant and extends it thanks to Kodak for its continued
support of the Rochester Chapter NRHS and its Rochester & Genesee
Valley Railroad Museum.
